A home for
service, growth,
& belonging.

Casa Brújula is a holistic house where travelers and locals come together — to rest, to work with purpose, and to leave the world a little better than they found it.

Community & Sanctuary

Shared meals, open conversations, creative workshops, and slow mountain mornings. Casa Brújula is a place to pause — to find direction again, like a compass finding north, and carry that clarity back into the world.

Stay with us

"The compass doesn't point to a place. It points to a purpose — and service is how you find it."

Sierra Nevada
de Santa Marta

Rising from the Caribbean coast to nearly 5,800 metres, the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta is the world's highest coastal mountain range — and one of its most biodiverse. Home to the Kogui, Arhuaco, and Wiwa peoples, it has been a place of ceremony and profound renewal for thousands of years. Casa Brújula sits at 82 metres above sea level on the banks of the river, wrapped in the lush microclimate that only a riverfront setting can create — where the air stays cool and alive, the sound of water is constant, and time moves differently.

Built on three beliefs

Wellness is a right

We believe access to holistic wellness — through nature, community, and ancestral wisdom — should be available to everyone, not just those with resources.

Service creates meaning

The exchange of work for shelter is an ancient human compact. We revive it — not as charity, but as dignity. What you give here ripples far beyond the mountain.

Local action, global ripple

Every seed planted, every trail cleared, every story shared here moves outward. We ask everyone who passes through to carry something useful back to their corner of the world.

Come stay.
Come work.
Come grow.

Whether you're looking for a work-exchange programme, a journey inward, or simply a pause in the mountains — Casa Brújula has a place for you. Write to us and tell us who you are.
